1. What brought you to CFS?
After college one of my best friends opened a CrossFit gym and after hearing him constantly talk about the benefits I decided to give it a try in 2012. When I first walked into CFS I knew it was the place for me. I immediately felt the sense of community and loved how hands on the coaching was.

2. What 1 thing would you like members to know.
I love dogs! My wife and I rescued our pitbulls, Phoenix and Bentley, in college almost 15 years ago. Growing up with these two really helped me appreciate how important and unconditionally loving man’s best friend is. I hope throughout my life to be able to continue to rescue pitbulls since they are so mistreated and get an unfairly bad rap. Also, I used to be a male model and a DJ…

3. What PR are you most proud of? What is your next PR goal?
The PR i’m most proud of is 41 unbroken pullups….which ended with me falling off the bar and landing on my back. I’m also proud of my increased mobility and ROM. When I first started I couldn’t even bend over and touch my toes. My next PR goal is to add more shoulder mobility and OHS 215+ lbs.

4. If you could have anyone coach you through a WOD, who would it be?
Woo, I love his enthusiasm and undying positivity in any situation. He somehow finds a way to make even the worst WOD enjoyable.

5. What were you like in high school?
I grew up in the south loving big trucks, country music and tailgating. Not until my junior year did I break 5ft tall and 100 lbs, I was quite the ladies man! I worked a lot, played baseball and graduated with honors.

6. What movie as a kid scarred you the most?
Dude!!! Candyman! To this day I am terrified of meat hooks and bumble bees. If you haven’t seen it you should.

7. What is your biggest first world problem?
My biggest first world problem is when I go to a hotel and their blow dryer doesn’t have enough wind force to get my quiff acting right. Rule #1 is ALWAYS bring your own blow dryer.

8. What is your favorite meal, in detail?
Anything mexican. You must start with chips and guac/salsa. Follow it up with some bomb steak or chicken fajitas (refried beans is a must). For an encore is a fat slice of vanilla bean flan……then a nap.

9. If you had $1 million, what would you spend it on? Give details!
I would spend it on travel for me and my family. We love to go experience new cultures and destinations. Whatever is left would be used to buy investment properties down in Charleston, my hometown.

10. What are you most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for my amazing family. My wife, Alana, and I have been together over 15 years and have two handsome little boys. Alana has always had my back and supported me in all my endeavors. Our two boys, Mason and Ashton, are little animals and are the world to us. Watching them grow up is truly a blessing.
