Brand New to CrossFit?

Our On Ramp (beginners program) will prepare you to  join the WOD – Workout Of the Day classes.

On Ramp begins on the first week of each month. 

The cost is $205 and includes the 3 week program plus an additional 1 week of WOD classes. If you’re a high school or full time undergrad student the cost is $135.

There are 9 Sessions, each 1 hour long. During these sessions you will learn how to safely perform common CrossFit movements, increase your general conditioning and begin to get accustomed to training in a large fast paced CrossFit class.

We will slowly ramp up the intensity and volume as the classes progress. There will be plenty of exercise modifications provided for members with previous injury or limitations. One underrated but important benefit of completing the On Ramp program is the new found friends you’ll make!

On Ramp meets on Wed and Thur @ 8:00 pm and Sun @ 8:00 am. If you cannot make the regularly scheduled On Ramp classes please contact us to arrange private sessions.

Already Have CrossFit Experience?

Great! If you have been CrossFitting at another affiliate opt for a Skills Test. The Skills test is 100% Free and it will give you an opportunity to test out of On Ramp and begin the Workout of the Day right away! You will meet with a coach to demonstrate your knowledge of common CrossFit movements, discuss scaling and perform a short WOD. This is also a time to get to know each other and talk about programming, community, goals, limitations etc.

Private Training

Private training is recommended if you have been sedentary for a long period of time, are training for a specific sport or event, have significant health limitations or just prefer the flexibility,  additional attention and accountability of an appointment. FitCamp

FitCamp is a high intensity interval class designed to make you move better, sweat more and get stronger.  You’ll work hard, but you’ll also work to your ability.  We offer 3 tiers of difficulty in each class so the workouts are challenging for the elite athlete as well as the beginner.

What can you expect from a FitCamp Class?

*A full body dynamic workout
* Progressions and Regressions of exercises, depending on your goals and fitness levels
* Tabatas
* Circuits
* Cardio, Core and Bodyweight exercises
* Variety of equipment including medicine balls, dumbells, kettlebells, sandbags, resistance bands
* Benchmark workouts to track individual progress
* A motivating group environment
* FUN!

Is It Like CrossFit?

Yes – the workouts offer a lot of variety and are taught by a coach who is certified by both CrossFit and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  You’ll meet new friends and be invited to lots of events in- and outside of the gym.

How Is It Different from CrossFit?

There is no beginner’s program required – you can start attending classes as soon as you like.  The first one is FREE!

We’ll use a lot of equipment – kettlebells, medicine balls, resistance bands but there won’t be any barbell lifting

Kids Do Work Age 3-7

While CrossFit Stamford is all about the people, Kids Do Work is all about the little people.  Our goal is to teach children the importance of being physically active through participating in fun activities.  Each class will consist of: group warm-ups that utilize basic calisthenics, skill work that focuses on learning new movements and increasing body awareness and games that encourage teamwork.

The Benefits:

Your child will gain so much more than just a workout from our program! Some of the benefits of Kids Do Work are increased attention span and focus, improved ability to follow directions and the development of problem solving skills and overall self-confidence.  Kids Do Work is a great way for children to get ready for team sports and also help prevent sports related injuries.  Most importantly, your child will have FUN while learning new ways to be healthy both in and out of the gym.

Classes are led by a certified CrossFit Kids coach who is also a certified CT teacher with over ten years of experience teaching elementary age children.

So if you’re looking for an exciting activity for your child that will get them moving AND learning, then Kids Do Work is for you!

Teens Do Work Age 10-15

Teens Do Work is for kids age 10-15 who are interested in improving strength and conditioning under the supervision of a qualified coach. The program will not only improve fitness level but will also give your teen the ability to set goals and create healthy habits necessary to excel in traditional sports and/or recreational activities.

Your Teen Firebreather will learn body awareness, proper weightlifting technique and basic gymnastics.  Our program stands by the same core principles as our adult classes: have fun in a safe group atmosphere with positive reinforcement and peer motivation.
