Wednesday the 13th at 7:00 pm the annual Pizza Wod for Toys for Tots!

We’ve been hosting a Pizza WOD since 2011 – a workout that combines competitive eating with exercising. Ultimately it’s a fun way to raise donations for Toys for Tots, participants bring a toy and we provide as much pizza as you can eat in 20 minutes.

I get why this can seem a little weird – we spend a lot of effort on nutrition education but there’s no denying that pizza is not a healthy food and we’re definitely not consuming it in a mindful way. But there’s this other part of life, it’s called FUN and it’s important too. The pizza WOD is silly – we wear costumes. It’s social – I purposely put strangers on the same team to encourage new friendships.

It’s hilarious – watching people wearing cat laser shirts and stocking caps stuff their faces and do wall balls isn’t something you see every day. It’s a special occasion and it’s the most fun I have eating a “cheat meal” all year.

20 Minute AMRAP
200/150m row
10 wall balls 20/14lbs
15 Abmat situps

1 Round of the AMRAP = 1 Point
1 Slice of Pizza = 1 Point (ladies slice count 1.5x)
